Alexander Frank Lobkovich Jr., 89, of Sedona, died Feb. 5.

Born in Detroit, Mich., he was a World War II veteran. He was active with the Sedona Elks and rescued several greyhounds.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret and son David.

He is survived by his wife Florence; children Joan [Dan] Hall, Stephen, Kathleen [Jim] O’Brien and Charlene [Jack Guinn]; stepchildren Jeffery, Lynn, Kelly and Jeannie; numerous grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be determined.

A 2008 graduate of Michigan State University, Andrew Pardiac was a Larson Newspapers' copy editor and reporter from October 2013 to October 2017. After moving to Michigan, then California, Pardiac was managing editor of Sonoma West Publishers' four newspapers in Napa and Sonoma valleys until November 2019.
