Illuminate, the world’s premier film festival for conscious cinema, is now accepting volunteers for Illuminate 2017, which will be held Wednesday, May 31, through Sunday, June 4. The festival will take place at the Sedona Performing Arts Center, 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road, and the Mary D. Fisher Theatre, 2030 SR 89A. Times are 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 31; and all day Thursday through Sunday, June 1 through 4.

Illuminate Film Festival is currently seeking volunteers to serve in a variety of roles to support the 2017 festival. Volunteers are a vital part of the IFF, and all persons are encouraged to apply. It is the desire of IFF to build beneficial relationships, in which valued volunteers use their strengths, passions and dedication to create a wonderful festival experience for all and to positively enhance their own lives.

During the five-day event, people and cultures from around the world converge on a path of happiness, discovery and enlightenment. The 2016 installment featured 25 films, six world premieres, 103 mind-body-spirit practitioners, directors, producers, talent, industry insiders, and boasted an attendance of over 5,500. IFF aims to welcome 100 volunteers as part of their team.

Volunteers are needed before and during the festival. IFF offers opportunities in a wide range of fields including marketing and outreach, ticket taking/ushers, venue operations, volunteer captains, information desk, healing lounge, hospitality, special events, technical and 11th hour.

Pre-festival volunteers, who work 40 total hours before Wednesday, May 31, earn an All-Access Pass to the festival. Those who volunteer during the festival will work in four-hour shifts and receive one volunteer voucher for each four-hour shift worked. Vouchers are valid for regular screenings and Reel Healing programs.

Volunteers may register at illuminatefilmfestival.com/volunteer. Upon registration, volunteer orientation dates will be provided. All volunteers are required to attend one orientation. For additional information, contact Winnie or Denise at volunteer@illuminatefilmfestival.com, or Carol Kahn at (336) 339-4709.
