The Sedona Red Rock Junior High School track and field team competed in its first meet, the Camp Verde Invitational, on Thursday, April 6. Only 16 athletes are on the team, but many placed high at the 10-team competition.

“It’s small this year, which is kind of disappointing,” Scorpions head coach Mary Beattie said. “But they’re putting in really nice performances this season. They’re doing really well.”
