Margaret Arevalo, 43, formerly of Sedona, died June 12.

A bilingual educator in several school districts, she held a degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in education.

She also provided teacher instruction at Arizona State University. She is survived by her husband Luis; daughters Elisia and Gabriela; her parents Ken and Phyllis Ellis; sisters Ann [Erik] Polakowski and Becky [Randy] Post; brother Kenny [Erica] Ellis; eight nieces and nephews; a large extended family; and many friends.

A 2008 graduate of Michigan State University, Andrew Pardiac was a Larson Newspapers' copy editor and reporter from October 2013 to October 2017. After moving to Michigan, then California, Pardiac was managing editor of Sonoma West Publishers' four newspapers in Napa and Sonoma valleys until November 2019.
