John Randolph “Randy” Richmond, of the Village of Oak Creek, died Aug. 11 in Flagstaff.

As a counselor and mentor, he helped thousands of people. He was a Jungian, an Egyptologist and an inspiring force in the human design community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and John K. Richmond.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Blanding; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Ron Shimaitis, and their three children; and eight grandchildren.

She holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and worked in corporate communications in insurance and health care for several years, handling marketing and public relations duties. Fur-mom to two cats and three dogs, she is semi-retired.
