Bonnie May Burkee
1922 — 2019

Bonnie May Burkee, 96, of Sedona, died Feb. 15.

A graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago, she traveled the world with her husband Irv and family, making lithographs and jewelry, taking photos and forging lifelong friendships. They created homes and studios in Aspen, Colo., and Sedona.

She was a beauty pageant winner, a model and played tennis with teammates Bobby Riggs and the Evert brothers.

Per her request, donations in her honor may be made to Chamber Music Sedona.
