Sedona’s largest and longest-running group exhibition of visual art, the 39th annual Juried Members Exhibition, will be on view through Sunday, March 31, in the Historic Art Barn and is free to the public.
“This exhibition will feature emerging and well established artists of all varieties,” Gallery Director Cyndi Thau said. “It’s an excellent opportunity to see a wide-range of creativity and talent of artists in Northern Arizona.”
Visitors will find everything from painting and watercolor to wood, jewelry and fiber art.
A focus is also placed on drawing, mixed-media, photography and digital art and ceramics. The Members’ Show is steeped in tradition and remains open to all current Arts Center members, whether seasoned professionals or new and emerging artists.
Through Monday, March 18, the Special Exhibition Gallery is featuring the NAWS 2019 Watermedia Exhibition. This is an annual event not to be missed. An original and exciting group of watermedia artists will display and sell their two- and three dimensional creations.
Not limited to ordinary fine art, this show also includes outlandish materials, remarkable textures and exquisite collage. The juror is Ken Hosmer and awards will include Best of Show, Award of Excellence, Juror’s Award, NAWS Memorial Award, plus Awards of Distinction. The public is invited to the exhibition and the reception and awards presentation being held Thursday, March 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. Visit aws-az.org for more information.
