The Sedona Area Garden Club’s annual fundraiser sale, Plants Galore & More, will be held Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Big Park Community School in the Village of Oak Creek. All proceeds help fund SAGC’s community projects.
Plants Galore offers annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and sought after milkweed plants will be for available for sale.
Also for sale are unique bib aprons designed and sewn by club members; plastic coated commercial bags refashioned into sturdy, reusable tote bags and wine corks made into trivets and plant stand table tops.
“We look forward to this plant sale each year as our only fundraiser to help pay for our community service projects,” Barbara Livermont, SAGC plant sale chair, said. “We thank area businesses and individuals for their support, too, by donating beautiful and fun raffle prizes.”
Ongoing SAGC community projects are the Big Park Community School Butterfly Garden, Sedona Senior Center flower and herb boxes and gardens, Sedona Heritage Museum and Cemetery grounds, Sedona Medical Center oncology raised beds and Sedona and Village of Oak Creek Public Libraries.
Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer shoppers’ questions about plants and their care.
The Sedona Area Garden Club is part of the National and Arizona Federated Garden Clubs whose mission is to advance gardening, promote civic beautification and aid in the conservation of natural resources.
