The Grand Canyon Conservancy has released the first installment of a 20-week series of 2- to 3-minute videos called “Grand Canyon Moments.”

The series covers topics including dark skies, trails, geology, ecology, history, wildlife, the Colorado River, American Indian connections and more.

The first video is titled, “Dark Skies.”

“Grand Canyon Moments” aims to bring the canyon to people’s homes while Grand Canyon National Park is closed. The videos will continue to be used as an educational resource after the park reopens.

The series is supported by a gift from Arizona Lottery.
