Sedona Fire District looks into ‘allegations’1 min read

The Sedona Fire District is currently investigating one of its own.

On Friday, May 8, SFD Chief Jon Trautwein issued a four-sentence press release that the district had been “made aware of serious allegations against a member of the Sedona Fire District. The individual has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.”

“The Sedona Fire District will cooperate fully with law enforcement concerning this situation,” Trautwein wrote. “No further information will be disclosed at this time although inquiries should only be made to the fire chief.”

When reached for comment or additional information or the nature of the allegation on Monday, May 11, Trautwein said, “I have no further comment at this time. This is a personnel matter that is under investigation.”

Sgt. Michael Dominguez, of the Sedona Police Department, said SPD is not involved in the investigation and had no information regarding the incident.
