A spokesperson for the Cottonwood Police Department announced shortly after noon on Tuesday, Dec. 29, that a 911 outage for approximately 175 landlines in the Verde Valley, reported roughly 24 hours earlier, had been resolved.
The day before, CenturyLink advised the Cottonwood emergency dispatch center that approximately 175 landlines in the Verde Valley area were unable to call 911 due to technical issues. A spokesperson for the dispatch center advised affected residents to use dispatch’s local number instead, 928-649-1397.
