Richard Austin Earl

Richard Austin Earl, 86, died Dec. 17.

Born in New Milford, Conn., he joined the U.S. Navy in 1954. He later worked as a carpenter in Arizona and California, and served on the volunteer Red Rock Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and one sister.

He is survived by two sisters; sons David [Michelle] of California and Marty [Sheree] of Oregon; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

No services are planned per his request. His ashes will be interred at the Sedona Community Cemetery.
