Monty Bondurant, 70, of Clarkdale, died Dec. 22.

He held a bachelor’s in psychology from Arizona State University, and a masters in counseling psychology from Texas Tech.

In 2000, he moved to the Verde Valley to work at Spectrum, and promoted mental health first-aid.

He is survived by his wife, Chris; stepchildren Richard [Meredith] Cornwall and Rebecca [Jamie] Reinig; brother Gary; sisters Cindy [Mark] and Tammy [Drew] ; brother-in-law Richard; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Christopher Fox Graham is the managing editor of the Sedona Rock Rock News, The Camp Verde Journal and the Cottonwood Journal Extra. Hired by Larson Newspapers as a copy editor in 2004, he became assistant manager editor in October 2009 and managing editor in August 2013.
