Plan for overnight lane restrictions at the “Y” Roundabout. The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising motorists to plan for lane restrictions at the intersection of State Routes 89A and 179, known as the “Y” Roundabout in Sedona from Monday, May 23, through Thursday , May 26, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily.

Drivers should be prepared to stop, proceed through the work zones with caution and watch for construction personnel and equipment while the following restrictions are in place overnight:

  • State Route 89A will be narrowed to one lane only with alternating northbound and southbound travel near the intersection of State Routes 89A and 179, aka the “Y” Roundabout.
  • Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone.
  • The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.

The restrictions are needed while crews apply the final striping to the roadway, which will mark completion of the project, ADOT stated.

ADOT thanks drivers and nearby businesses for their patience during this intersection modernization project, which included pavement rehabilitation, signage, striping and other improvements.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors. For more information, please call the ADOT Bilingual Project Information Line at (855) 712-8530 or go to azdot.gov/contact and select Projects from the drop-down menu.
