Mary Vernon Alford, 89, of Sedona, died Aug. 26.
A charter member of the Oak Creek Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, she was a third generation DAR member.

Jo Page has worked at Larson newspapers as typesetter since 2010. She holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and worked in corporate communications in insurance and health care for several years, handling marketing and public relations duties. Fur-mom to two cats and three dogs, she is semi-retired.
