Marc Allen Avery, 75, of Sedona, died Nov. 24.
He had a lifelong reverence for nature, open country, and all wildlife. After moving to Sedona, he bought Red Rock Jeep Tours and started several small businesses including Sedona Trolley, First Class Charter, and the Adventure Company.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Avery; stepchildren: Keira McNett, Jonah Lindner [Susan Lauzon], Josh Lindner [Windy Jones] of Clarkdale, and Leah Lindner of Sedona; three grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law; and a nephew.
A memorial gathering will be held in the springtime.
