Alan Graham Collier, 99, of Sedona, died Dec. 7.
Born in Manchester, England, he served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. A professor of art and an artist, he held positions at several universities in the United States and was an author.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia; daughters, Wendy [Alan] Colller-Parker and Ruth Collier; three grandchildren; and Kara, his border collie.
Arrangements are private. Donations are suggested to the Humane Society of Sedona and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah.
