Mark Peterson, 68, of the Village of Oak Creek, died Sept. 15.
A VOC resident for 15 years, he graduated from Arizona State University and spent years in the restaurant business as well as teaching high school history. He also co-owned the Cozy Cactus B&B.
He is survived by his sister, Lynn; her children, Devin and Abby; other nieces; a nephew; family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Sedona on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 1 p.m.
