Simone Bautista Cox, 67, of Sedona, died unexpectedly on March 23.

She attended Stanford University on a four-year scholarship and graduated with a degree in mass communication in 1979. She gave generously of her time and financial resources to various organizations and would do anything for anyone in need. She loved music and animals and volunteered at the Sedona Humane Society.

It was her wish to be cremated without a service or visitation.
