Rallycross returns to Camp Verde on June 151 min read

The 2024 Hot Summer Nights Rallycross event will take place at the Camp Verde Arena on Saturday, June 15.

The event is open to the public to register to test their driving skills while following the safety measures and guidelines of Sports Car Club of America rallycross.

The Arizona Rally Association and Camp Verde Arena are bringing the Arizona Region SCCA event to Camp Verde. The Arizona Region SCCA was founded in 1953 and provides programs for amateur racing enthusiasts across the state including autocross, road rally and national level club racing.

The event will follow the standard competition day format with six cumulative runs. Assigned run groups will be determined within each class for which participants register. The event is limited to 40 cars and additional entries will be put on a waitlist. All drivers must have a SCCA membership, either full or for the weekend.

The approximate schedule for Saturday night’s events will be:

  • Registration and technical inspection: 5 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Guided course walk: 6:30 to 7 p.m.
  • Drivers’ meeting: 7 to 7:30 p.m.
  • First session: 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
  • Break: 9:30 to 10 p.m.
  • Second session 10 p.m. to midnight
  • Awards: Midnight

Spectators and participants will need to fill out waivers.
