John Rodney Lothrop, 78, formerly of Sedona, died May 4.

He was active in The Church of the Red Rocks and on the Hope House board of directors.

He is survived by his wife, Gale; sons, Christopher and Griffin [Amanda]; and granddaughters, Annabelle and Bernadette.

A memorial service will be held in his hometown of Crete, Neb., on July 20. Donations may be made to Hope House of Sedona, The Church of the Red Rocks, 54 Bowstring Drive, Sedona, AZ 86336.
