Shortly after 3 pm on Saturday, April 23, crews from the Sedona Fire District, Verde Valley Fire District and Camp Verde responded to a fire in the Village of Oak Creek.

According to SFD officials on the scene the fire started in a ditch but high winds carried embers, which caught the roof on Rimrock Road house on fire. Crews battled the house fire for more than two hours.
