Sedona police reported that the driver said her foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas pedal.

No injuries were reported and no intoxication is suspected. The two units that were impacted were not occupied at the time, one being bare and one the recently closed Plaza Bonita restaurant.

In addition, the vehicle was reported as continuing to spin its tires after impact, sending smoke into the empty unit.

Sedona Fire District also responded and wiring was damaged, elevating the risk to secure the site.
