A snowstorm Tuesday, Jan. 24, prompted cancellation of the Sedona Red Rock High School boys and girls soccer games.

The teams were slated to play their final games of the regular season at John Ordean Memorial Stadium against 3A Region 1 rival North Pointe Preparatory, from Phoenix. The Falcons had already arrived to the school before the games were officially called off.

Thursday, Jan. 26, was the last day of the regular season for soccer in the Arizona Interscholastic Association, so the games were not rescheduled.

On Wednesday, Jan. 25, the teams were set to make up their canceled games at Anthem Preparatory Academy from Jan. 20, but those, too, were canceled.

The teams played at Page High School in their final 3A Region 1 games of the season on Jan. 26, but results were not available at press time.

Both teams hope to host a playoff game in the coming weeks.
