June 12, 1927 — June 30, 2017

Charles West, 90, formerly of Sedona, died June 30 in Phoenix.

A professional engineer, he moved to Sedona upon retirement and was active in the Church of the Red Rocks, the Westerners hiking club, the Oak Creek Camera Club and the Red Rock Rovers, a four-wheel drive club.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; three daughters and their spouses; and a granddaughter.

In lieu of services and flowers, donations are suggested to Hospice of the Valley.

A 2008 graduate of Michigan State University, Andrew Pardiac was a Larson Newspapers' copy editor and reporter from October 2013 to October 2017. After moving to Michigan, then California, Pardiac was managing editor of Sonoma West Publishers' four newspapers in Napa and Sonoma valleys until November 2019.
