The Sedona International Film Festival will present the magic and illusions of Eric Giliam, coming to the Mary D. Fisher Theatre for one show only on Saturday, Aug. 12, at 7:30 p.m.
The former World Teen Magic Champion has won many awards and prizes since he started performing at age 12, among them, the award for the most original and innovative stage act, presented to him by Siegfried and Roy in Las Vegas.
Giliam’s sleight of hand, illusions and stage presentation have taken him overseas regularly, performing on prime-time TV shows in London, Rome and most recently an exclusive show in Spain. He continues entertaining in the U.S., performing several hundred public and private stage shows every year.
The high-energy show of magic, laughter, fascination and crowd participation has entertained and amazed audiences of all ages. Several of the magic routines performed are not seen in any other show.
Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, the 26-year-old entertainer likes to incorporate a winter scene into one of his acts. The performance will reveal to the audience that not everything seen can be explained.
The magic and illusions of Eric Giliam will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 12, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 general admission or $18 for Film Festival members and students.
