I won’t be standing on a pedestal, and I am not a G U R U (gee, you are you); simply sharing what I sensed as a child, and what has been revealed to me over the last very many decades, which I put through the “taste and smell tests” of experience, and through the years have solidified a knowing of what works well, and opened many gifts we have all inherited that we just didn’t know we were given.
Some of us didn’t see the gifts under the (forest for the) tree, or been too busy and otherwise engaged, to untie the ribbons yet, to see what was heretofore unseen, but always there. Who knew or believed in invisible jet lift years ago, or the invisible energy carrying frequency to us through phones, televisions, computers or the internet?
Isaiah 10:26 says ,”Lift your eyes on high and behold who has created these. He who brings forth the starry hosts by numbers one by one and calls them forth by character.” They carry unseen energies. What (star) sign are you? It’s an outdated greeting, yet I use it to explain that we are all Much more than our Sun (star) sign. It’s really asking in order to know what character/istics one can likely expect in another’s personality. How many times have you asked, or heard asked, something similar to, “I’m a Libra and I’m dating an Aries. Are we compatible?“ NEI is the opposite of TMI. Not enough information. Every year at this time new Scorpios are born and others celebrate their birth. But did you know that each one of you have Scorpio in your birth astrology chart? Your birth horoscope is a snapshot of what the sky looked like when you inhaled your first earthly breath. Imagine the sky to be like a pie made into twelve slices. Each slice is called a house. Each house represents one of the twelve zodiac signs. So your horoscope not only shows where every planet in the sky was at that moment, but what sign each planet was in.
You may not be a Scorpio sun (star) sign, but you may communicate and think like a Scorpio if Mercury, the winged messenger, was in Scorpio when you were born. Private, not easily revealing personal feelings, quiet perhaps, with an interest in crime shows or vampires, just to give some examples. If Venus was in Scorpio, you could be very sensual, loyal to a fault, going through the rabbit hole with Alice on her transformative journey into the Scorpio underworld, and be there at every turn so she is not alone, in fact paying all the bills until she re-emerges from the deep.
Every planet and sign have many traits and one Scorpio may be worlds different than another. Not only because we have to take into account all of their other birth planets, signs, degrees and their potential explanations, but each planet and sign have dual characteristics. We can choose the fork in the road via our free will; to take things into positive characteristics, perception and direction, or default into negative, however, there is no right or wrong. What you may judge as bad, may actually be a valuable learning experience. The way I read and teach tarot is always positive and empowering; never scary, as I believe we can be guided out of negatives, or to see the positive, and change perception from being a negative. In tarot, the Queen of Cups is Scorpio. Scorpio is a water sign, cups represents water, water represents emotion, “they” say we are 90% water (therefore emotion), and there is beautiful blue water at her feet, as she focuses intently on what is right in front of her, focus being another Scorpio trait, and positive focus heals emotions.
How will you use Scorpio themes, which are with us until Tuesday morning, November 22? It always takes us through Halloween; when the veil between the living and the dead is the thinnest. Boo. Ghosts. Skeletons. Time to transform yourself like a snake sheds its skin; it doesn’t die, it has a new skin ready to go. What about death itself? If we’re made of energy, and energy can’t be killed, only transformed, then is there a new type of “skin” ready to go? More on that another day.
On Hallowed Evening, did you wear the costume of a princess or shaman? It’s okay to pretend you’re evil as it’s only a costume for a holyday, and maybe you’re so nice all the time you need to get in touch with your unexpressed anger through a mask, just to seem to say, “don’t cross me.” Or do you secretly want to wield power over others and control them? You get what you give, so if you’re not happy with daily life, look at your own actions and take a little time looking inside with a bright light, magnifying glass and a dental tool to scrape out old hurts from hard-to-reach places, that you may still be reacting to, though outdated. It’s your perceptions; we can transform them, so let’s, as they effect our physical life, here and now. Live, love, laugh. Never outdated.
