I am documentary DVD released!4 min read

At last year’s Sedona International Film Festival I saw wonderful and amazing movies and documentaries about important themes from saving our trees to stopping the use of plastic bags and plastics. I thrilled to see Sedona the Movie, not just because it took place right where I proudly live and work every day. I loved it, and not just because I was an extra with my face looming large on the big screen. Also at our Performing Arts Center I was second row center watching Nicolas Cage talk and present his movie, Sonny. The following day I ran into him and was able to converse a bit and tell him I enjoyed it.

But then, months later I kept hearing lots of buzz about the documentary movie I AM, and was glad to know it also came to our very own Harkins theatre.  A friend called and asked if I wanted to leave my office to go see it before it left town. I walked out of the theatre absolutely aglow, determined to implore everyone I knew to see it. Alas, they responded it wasn’t in their town, or it had left the theatres, and DVDs haven’t been available at all. Netflix did allow us to pre-reserve it.

This New Year’s morning Oprah’s OWN network aired it several times on Super Soul Sunday; apparently Rosie O’Donell had told her about it. About a week prior, I gave my facebook friends the heads-up, and watched it, again, yesterday, from my DVR’s taped recording.  The announcement was made:

The DVD release is NOW! January 3rd. Walk, don’t run, as I want you to safely enjoy this remarkable life-changing documentary. Have I mentioned that it was created by world-renowned director, Tom Shadyac, known for Ace Ventura, Pet Detective; Liar Liar; The Nutty Professor and Bruce Almighty? Yes, there are times you will profoundly laugh, yet the life-altering scientifically proven information about life and human existence will forever change how you think and live. No, it’s not preachy or guilt giving. You will relish every moment, rewind scenes, and I’d be surprised if you don’t share, lend or gift give the DVD.

It will astound, instIll awe and even provide your own irrefutable experiences as you watch and listen. Yes, I did mean experiences. You will respond in ways which you cannot resist, nor deny as innate, realizing you have just been part of the documentary as your own living proof.

Yes I said respond. Unlike simply watching and listening to what is seen and heard on the small and large screens, there will be experiments that are being done, some of which will irresistibly engage you. They will be joyful, meaningful and felt physically, meant to allow you to know first-hand, rather than just take information at face value. The truth of who you are, who I AM, and how you can live your best life and impact the world, simply and easily, can bring esteem to the confused or bullied teen; empowerment and respect to the oldest elder and to those considered mentally or physically challenged.

What is mental illness? You will be taken aback when you realize that you agree with what is presented. It’s not the oft-repeated:  insanity is repeating the same behavior and expecting a different result.  I hope you let me know your initial response when you learn what it really is.

What Tom Shadyac’s life-threatening experience inspired him to research around the globe, from anthropology statistics to cutting-edge findings, changed his life in ways you and I would never expect of a handsome, famous, wealthy, in-demand Hollywood director, to make him happy, at last. Nope, it’s not volunteering to help others.

There is no better time for this documentary movie to be viewed and relished, as it can deliciously feed your life and nourish our world, just by spending some of your precious time engaging in the precious I AM.

Get excited, get your DVD, get your friends and family, get your popcorn.

It’s not woo-woo, but it is wow-wow.

Who-who is recommending this documentary movie?

Well, Tom-the Buzz-Rosie-Oprah-all who have seen it, and I AM.

Then inevitably you-you.
