F. Ruth Jordan Jackson Van Epps, 90, of Cottonwood, died June 3.

A daughter of Sedona founder Walter Jordan, whose farmhouse is now the Sedona Heritage Museum, she was a school counselor and a tour guide and the author of the book “Following Their Westward Star.”

A celebration of life will be held at the Sedona Heritage Museum on Saturday, July 27, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the museum in her name.
