A 15-year-old Sedona boy was struck by a vehicle as he attempted to cross State Route 89A around 8 p.m. Monday, May 21.

According to police, the boy was transported to the Flagstaff Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries following the crash. The collision occurred at Milepost 371.7 near Rigby Road, between Andante Drive and Rodeo Road in West Sedona.

Sedona Fire District Fire Chief Kris Kazian said the youth was lucky his injuries were not worse.
