Wendell James VerPloeg, 91, of Sedona, died Jan. 13.

He graduated from Iowa State University, worked for Ford New Holland Tractor and was active in the Church of the Red Rocks.

He was predeceased by his parents, Dick and Agnes; parents-in-law, Rennier and Sarah; wife, Erma; and brothers, Chadwick [Irene] and Dick Jr. [Joyce].

He is survived by his sons, Randall [Debi] and James [Jennifer]; grandchildren, Tori [Adam], Eric [Sarah], Rachel [Shane] and Jacob; and great-grandchildren, Graham, Claire and Robin.
