The Big Park Community School volleyball team makes a name for itself as it maintains a perfect, undefeated record.

The Coyotes have five wins and zero losses right now, and they aren’t slowing down.

“We have an outstanding team with experienced eighth- and seventh-graders who can really play competitive volleyball,” Head Coach Shelley Woellmer said. “I am anticipating a great season with this group of fine girl athletes.”

The team only lost one game last season and placed second in the region.

Woellmer, who is in her eighth year of coaching at Big Park, coaches the team in a way that prepares the girls for the high school level.

“That is my job,” Woellmer said. “I want them to play at a confident level by the time they get to high school.”
