The Sedona Red Rock High School track and field team competed in its first two meets and did well considering the competition was against Arizona Interscholastic Association Division I and II teams.

The Scorpions competed in the Tolleson Invitational on Saturday, March 2, in Phoenix, and in the ninth annual Northland Preparatory Academy Skydome Meet at the Northern Arizona University J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome in Flagstaff on Tuesday, March 5.

Sedona was the only Division III team represented at the Tolleson Invitational, so it was a big way to get the first-meet-of-the-season nerves out of the way.

The Tolleson Invitational included seven Division I teams, such as Deer Valley, Sandra Day O’Connor and Westwood, seven Division II teams, such as Notre Dame Prep, Flagstaff and Glendale, and two Division IV teams, Arizona Lutheran and Northwest Christian.
