Sedona’s Little League Majors Head Coach Mark Seda said it was going to be good game, but no one predicted the come-from-behind victory that came at the most unexpected time of the game.

The Tigers of Sedona [10-3] rallied from a six run deficit in the sixth inning, beating the Rangers [10-2] of Cottonwood, 16-12, in a game that lasted 31/2 hours on Wednesday, May 9, at Riverfront Park in Cottonwood.

Clearly that was a wake-up call for the young players as they won their next six games in a row before taking their revenge on the Rangers in the most exciting way.

It took the first inning for the Tigers to warm up to the Rangers pitcher. Each hitter in the lineup had strong swings, but couldn’t get a connection.

The Rangers had a two-run homer, but Bradley Howard struck out the next two batters before hitting his own two-run homer in the second inning. Yet, the Rangers answered right back with two more runs.
