Irma O. Vajda, 97, of Sedona, died Oct. 15.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Louis Vajda, and her daughter, Lola Bejbl.

She is survived by her daughter Diane [Charles] Phelps of Sedona; brother Charles [Barbara] Bodnar of Cleveland, OH; and grandchildren Nathan Phelps, Heather Phelps and Sean Bejbl.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. at Jerona Java Café, at 677 E. Mingus Ave. in Cottonwood.

A 2008 graduate of Michigan State University, Andrew Pardiac was a Larson Newspapers' copy editor and reporter from October 2013 to October 2017. After moving to Michigan, then California, Pardiac was managing editor of Sonoma West Publishers' four newspapers in Napa and Sonoma valleys until November 2019.
