With Black History Month coming in February and Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day right around the corner, the Sedona Public Library in the Village of Oak Creek has invited artist Beverly Jenai-Myers to showcase her artwork.
Jenai-Myers’ series, “Cowboys of Color,” examines the impact that black cowboys had on the region’s history. Her art will go up Tuesday, Jan. 21, and a reception will be held in the courtyard at Tequa Plaza Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Cheryl Yeatts, site manager for SPL in the Village, said the library invited Jenai-Myers for a couple of reasons.
