“This is more of a personal statement.”

That was how Jackie Strickling, wife of head boys basketball coach Greg Strickling, described Sedona Red Rock High School’s 103-64 victory over the Cowboys of Camp Verde High School on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

“They were easy on them the last time,” she added, referring to the 78-41 Scorpions defeat of the Cowboys just three days earlier at the Box Out Breast Cancer Invitational in Prescott Valley on Saturday, Jan. 11.

Junior guard Josh Cacciatore had 22 points and junior forward Tristan Decker added 15. But neither of them led the Scorpions in scoring that night.
