Katherine B. Winget, 98, of Sedona and Cottonwood, died Dec. 28.

An accomplished musician and retired Diaconal minister, she coordinated the chaplaincy program for Del Webb Hospital, retiring at 92.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James, son David, two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her children Rex [Marie], Robert [Karen], Jean [Stephen] and John [Jean]; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. at Mountain View United Methodist Church in Cottonwood.

A 2008 graduate of Michigan State University, Andrew Pardiac was a Larson Newspapers' copy editor and reporter from October 2013 to October 2017. After moving to Michigan, then California, Pardiac was managing editor of Sonoma West Publishers' four newspapers in Napa and Sonoma valleys until November 2019.
