Sedona Fire District responded to a house fire in a neighborhood behind Circle K on Hwy. 179 in Sedona during the afternoon of Tuesday, Feb. 19. Flames destroyed the entire back half of the second floor but the first floor, constructed of brick, escaped total destruction. SFD Public Information Officer Gary Johnson said nobody appeared to be home when the fire broke out but the owners arrived while crews continued to work on hot spots. Johnson said the cause of the fire cannot be determined until crews give him and SFD Fire Marshall Will Loesche permission to enter the home for an investigation. For the complete story, read the Friday, Feb. 22, edition of the Sedona Red Rock News.
