Throw out the old stats and respect the new approach.

That is what seven football linemen for Sedona Red Rock High School are out to prove, on both sides of the ball this fall, to Verde Valley rivals Mingus Union and Camp Verde high schools.

After getting the better of the Marauders and Cowboys in the majority of events at the MUHS Big Man competition June 19, Mason Bradshaw, Alex Burke, Tim Hall, Jose Rivas, Luis Robles, Zeke Saxman and Kevin Schweiss continue that quest in their weight room with the Strongman Challenge at 6 p.m. Friday, June 27.

“What they’ve done between last year and this year is quite remarkable,” SRRHS assistant coach John Bradshaw said. “I mean, they’ve really transformed themselves into a strong group.”
