On Jan. 5, Coconino County Sheriff’s deputy Kyle Walter was assigned to U.S. Forest Service law enforcement officer Krista Kuhns’ call regarding a car accident at 3:46 p.m. that resulted in a fatal shooting at 3:50 p.m. Walter documented the scene with his body camera after he arrived.
